According to one celebrity fitness trainer the metabolic rate of a person who drinks 16 ounces of water in an hour can spike as much as 30 percent for the next 30 to 40 minutes.
Studies have shown that being hydrated helps your body get a better workout. That doesn’t mean you should chug water before you work out though. Drink a glass of water 20 to 30 minutes before you work out and then take small sips of water during your workout if needed.
Staying hydrated will help lessen any under-eye puffiness. Not getting enough water can definitely cause you to retain excess fluids around the eyes and experience more under-eye puffiness than normal. Drinking water is important to the general health of your skin.
Besides increasing your metabolism, water can also help you lose weight by cutting unnecessary calories from your diet. The more water you drink, the less sugary drinks you have in your body. Water intake doesn’t just come from drinking it either. There is water in some of the things we eat. You can naturally up your water intake by eating clean, unprocessed whole fruits and vegetables.
Although water may not be the cure for everything that ails you, it’s the best thing you can drink.
